Sainte Marie la Mer is committed to the gradual, long-term implementation of sustainable development throughout its territory.
In order to meet the challenges of tourism and the local economy, the commune is focusing on :
- developing tourism offerings that respect environmental constraints,
- maintaining local crafts, shops and services thanks to a vibrant local economy driven by sustainable tourism.

One of the strong points of this approach is the promotion of sustainable tourism, which respects environmental constraints and enhances its cultural and natural heritage.
